Hello!

My name is Laura, and I am a Photographer!
My passion for Photography started at the young age of 8 years old, when my Dad taught me how to use a camera during one of our travels across the country.  Ever since then, I've been taking pictures.
I grew up traveling from the age of 6, making it to 48 states in the U.S by the time I was 11.  My first time on a plane was when I was 16, going to Europe for the first time.  Traveling throughout my childhood opened up a passion within myself, it showed me how to capture beautiful moments through the lens of my camera. I realized that I loved creating art and making people happy.  And I haven't been able to stop since.
I graduated cum laude in Visual Communications at Monroe Community College in Rochester NY (2021) and also graduated summa cum laude in Photography and Communication from The University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY (2023).  My education in Photography opened up many doors professionally and personally.  With my knowledge, I created my own darkroom where I develop my own black and white film prints.  Professionally my degrees have helped me land a job with The Walt Disney Company, working as a PhotoPass Photographer, where I can make people happy everyday with my pictures.
Photography has also pushed me outside of my comfort zone, one example being underwater photography.  My curiosity of underwater photography awakened when I attended National Geographic's Photographer, Brian Skerry's speaker series talk. His work about the whale species so was inspiring, it led me to go out of my comfort zone and become scuba diver certified, so I could expand my knowledge of photography even more.
I'm constantly learning more about photography and the creative/technological aspects that come with it.  I will continue to keep pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, and creating stories using beautiful images.
